Make Chicken Goujons

 Making chicken goujons is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Preheat the oven to 190degrees, gas mark 5 and fill up three bowls, one with around 50g plain flour, one with 3 beaten eggs and one with 125g breadcrumbs. Season the breadcrumbs with salt and pepper, slice up 4 chicken breasts and then you’re good to go!

One at a time, dip a sliced piece of chicken into the flour…

Then drop it into the egg mixture and coat evenly…

And finally get a good coating of breadcrumbs all over your chicken!

Have an oiled up tray at the ready and start laying your goujons on the tray

You should get a good amount out of four chicken breasts – make sure they are evely coated with oil and drizzle some more over the top of them before they go in the oven

Place in the oven for 30-35 minutes…

et voila! Perfectly crispy chicken goujons which are (relatively) healthy. I decided to have mine fajita-style in tortilla wraps with a little creme fraiche, salsa and cheddar cheese – this was the random mixture that I had in the fridge!
